The week's gone by so quickly. Thank goodness I didn't make the resolution to blog every single day of 2011! But there are some mixed links I wanted to make sure to share with you -- even though I don't have time to do a long post:
- I can't wait to see this documentary: "Family Portrait in Black and White." And we would LOVE to show it at this year's 2011 Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival--anybody know how to connect with and convince the director? It's the story of a Ukrainian woman who is raising 23 biracial foster kids, the off-spring of visiting African students and Ukrainian women;
- Loving Prize winner and Hapa artist and activist, Kip Fulbeck, talks about biracial identity on NPR;
- Kudos to Kamala Harris: the first African-American, the first Asian-American, and the first Indian-American to serve as California's State Attorney General. That's a lot of firsts! Harris' mother is Indian and her father Jamaican.
