The little weekly podcast I created and host, Mixed Chicks Chat, about being racially and culturally Mixed, has been recognized as Best Podcast 2008 by the Black Weblog Awards Judge's Choice. Undoubtedly this award will NOT lead to fame and fortune, but it's so exciting to know that the show is making its little mark on the world. Thanks to the Judges, and to all of you who support and listen to the show!
As for the schizophrenia of this self-proclaimed little Mixed girl embracing an award for/by/about African-Americans--well, . . . it's schizophrenic. But if we can all claim Obama, then I am happy to claim this award too.
