Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival June 12-14 UPDATES

   The excitement at Mixed Chicks Chat grows every day as we see more and more folks registering to attend the Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival next weekend, June 12-14, 2008.  This is really an event you don't want to miss.  We kick it off on Thursday, June 12, at 7pm with a  Loving Day party!  DJs Life and Vika will spin.  Enjoy free drinks and dessert, and be inspired by acclaimed author Rebecca Walker's Opening Address!  But wait there's more!  Friday and Saturday are filled with workshops, readings and screenings.  We've added TV-actress and author Kim Wayans, writer & Scrubs producer Angela Nissel, writer Jordan Elgrably, and writer Elliott Lewis to the line-up.  Find out more at www.mixedrootsfilmandliteraryfestival.org.  We have a new Festival blog where we are profiling our participating artists.  And, it's free.  All free.
