Thank you to everyone who braved the icy roads on Tuesday to celebrate the paperback release.
It was a lovely evening and so exciting to debut the work in progress for you. And you really liked it? Really? Well I will keep plugging away then!
Thanks Sally and Roberta for kicking off the tour in such a special way.
The week's gone by so quickly. Thank goodness I didn't make the resolution to blog every single day of 2011! But there are some mixed links I wanted to make sure to share with you -- even though I don't have time to do a long post:
Kudos to Kamala Harris: the first African-American, the first Asian-American, and the first Indian-American to serve as California's State Attorney General. That's a lot of firsts! Harris' mother is Indian and her father Jamaican.
This past year was amazing and wonderful. I experienced a dream come true: my debut novel found its way into the world and got a nice response! I met so many wonderful folks on the road and found much to feel blessed about. But there were many things that slipped: my time to connect with dear friends and family, and my overall commitment to a regimen of consistent exercise and healthy eating (for some reason wine and french fries often sounded like the best thing to eat after a successful reading). So for 2011 my watchwords are "healthy" and "balance." I was going to go with just healthy but I felt that my tendency toward extremism might kick in. Healthy balance. It's the mantra moving forward. Here's to 2011: a cheer for healthy balance--and the willingness to let these words be my guide!
